What is Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)?

HP ALM provides a unified platform for managing and automating processes, activities and assets that organizations use to build, test, deliver and maintain applications. It includes modules for requirements management, test management, defect management, development management, and overall release and project planning.  HP ALM helps organizations to drive consistent processes, shared best-practices, and asset sharing across projects, and improves collaboration across business analysts, development and testing teams with the Application Lifecycle Intelligence Add-In.
